Tanya is a Level 3 Iyengar yoga teacher. She has been practicing Iyengar yoga since 1995 and teaching since 2009. Tanya often teaches weekend workshops and has run yoga retreats in France and Cornwall, and most recently, in 2025, Northern Spain. One of the hallmarks of Iyengar yoga is the ability to offer alternative poses or appropriate props where a pose is too difficult or where there are issues with the body doing a pose. Most classes are mixed in ability, gender and with an age range anywhere between 30 and 70.
Tanya is absolutely passionate about yoga and the amazing benefits on a physical and emotional level. “I find my yoga sessions are the one place where I can leave all my worries outside the door, focus completely on what I am doing and leave feeling rejuvenated, energised and generally calmer”
Tanya used to suffer from a lot of lower back pain and needed to see a chiropractor on a regular basis. “Since doing yoga on a regular basis, I hardly ever suffer from back pain and I am probably fitter now than I was when I was 20!"
